Choose by the teammate's condition
| Item | Launch role | When to choose it |
|---|---|---|
| Sewing Kit | Revives | A teammate is dead and needs revival |
| Syringe | Heals | A teammate needs healing |
The two items do different jobs. Do not use the fact that both look like support tools as evidence that either can replace the other.

A detached torso is not the intact Critter targeted by a Sewing Kit. This beta tooltip does not establish current revival statistics.
Use the contextual tooltip
With your support item held, hover over the dead Critter and read the tooltip. The launch changes add this explanation so that you can understand what the held item does.
Follow the current interaction prompt. No universal keyboard binding, healing amount, revival duration, or use count is established here, and guessing those details is less useful than reading the item you actually have.
Decide what your group should keep
Escape from Playtime lets you give items to Barry or retain them for survival. Before contributing a support item, check the group's needs. A Sewing Kit covers a different emergency from a healing syringe, so compare their roles before giving away the only tool suited to a fallen teammate.
This is a choice about your current inventory and team condition. It does not establish a universal best item to sell, a fixed quota value, or a reason to keep every support item indefinitely.
Avoid the beta reversal
The launch changes explicitly assign revival to Sewing Kits and healing to syringes. If a video demonstrates a syringe revive, check whether it was recorded during the beta before copying the procedure. Use the launch roles and current prompts when choosing your tool.
