Identify the kind of code you have
| Code or reward | Confirmed route | What to expect |
|---|---|---|
| Midnight CatNap cosmetic | One code per official plush, emailed to the checkout address | Single-use cosmetic claim; base game required |
| October Open Beta access | Distributed playtest code | Access only within the announced playtest period |
| Project: Playtime Hoodie | Steam Inventory System | Automatic reward for eligible players |
| Founders Pack | Separate Steam DLC | Cosmetic content requiring the base game |
| Partner game-code promotion | A separate rewards program, such as the launch ROG Elite Rewards offer | Follow the issuing program's eligibility and claim instructions |
A code that grants a cosmetic is not automatically a license for the base game. Likewise, an old invitation to test the game is not a permanent purchase of Early Access.
A partner game-code promotion is another category. The launch ROG Elite Rewards offer directed users to sign in or register and claim through that program. It did not provide a public reusable in-game reward string. Current stock, regional eligibility, and required points are not confirmed here; check the issuing program before treating a promotional post as an available game key.
Old beta codes have a limited access window
The announced Open Beta ran from October 1 at 10 a.m. Pacific Time to October 4 at 6 p.m. Pacific Time. The playtest notice explicitly said that distributed codes would not work on Steam outside that timeframe.
If you are trying one of those codes after the test, its failure does not establish a problem with your current game installation. Check which event issued the code before troubleshooting it as a live reward.
Midnight CatNap uses a purchase bonus
Every official Midnight CatNap plush includes one code for the Escape from Playtime cosmetic. The code is emailed separately to the address used at checkout within 1–5 business days after purchase. Each code can only be redeemed once. No universal replacement code or verified public giveaway string is listed here.
The skin requires Escape from Playtime on Steam for Windows PC. The plush does not include the base game. If the code email is missing after the stated delivery window, check the checkout address and contact the store support associated with the order.
Use the instructions supplied with the code. The exact redemption menu, expiry date, and transfer rules are not confirmed here. Do not assume the cosmetic code is a Steam activation key unless its instructions identify it that way.
Some rewards do not need a code
The Project: Playtime Hoodie is described as an automatic Steam Inventory reward for players who own Project: Playtime and have played it at least once. Founders Pack content is distributed as Steam DLC.
If you are looking for either reward, start with its eligibility and ownership conditions. Searching for a promotional string will not establish those conditions or unlock the four progression characters.
