Strikes and Failed Deliveries

Quick Answer

Strikes replace the beta's demerits counter. Gameplay observations describe three failure chances; check the current tutorial for penalties and reset rules.

Read the failure counter separately from tribute

Barry's quota tracks delivered value. Strikes track failed attempts. Collecting more items and sending a load raises tribute; it is not the same action as changing the penalty counter.

A teammate dying also should not be read as proof that the team immediately received a strike. Check the shift result and actual counter instead of treating every death, missed throw, and unfinished delivery as interchangeable penalties.

This beta screen uses the old Demerits label. The launch terminology is strikes; the pictured quota is not a universal target.

What happens at the limit

Beta gameplay described a three-demerit punishment climb with rising red gas. The launch announcement confirms the rename to strikes, but does not establish that every beta penalty and reset rule carried over. Do not deliberately exhaust the allowance while assuming the next transition will be safe.

The practical goal is to finish the current quota and leave successfully before failures build to that point. Watch the current result screen between shifts; do not infer your remaining allowance solely from how many shifts the group has played.

Avoid spending a chance unintentionally

Before leaving, compare the delivered amount with the quota. Blue loaded value still waiting inside Barry is different from yellow sent progress. A cart full of items does not complete delivery by itself.

If the clock is running low, agree whether the group is making one final delivery or returning to leave. This keeps players from assuming another teammate has already completed the quota. Use the current tutorial for the exact penalty messages and do not import reset behavior or exception rules from an older beta guide.
