Prepare the return before the quota is complete
The factory layout changes, so do not rely on a universal sequence of rooms or turns. Keep the route back toward Barry understandable while you collect items. Sketch-A-Map can help locate Barry and teammates; glowsticks can preserve the path the group has already taken.

Before sending the final load, tell separated teammates that the group is preparing to leave. This gives everyone a clear immediate objective instead of allowing some players to continue searching while others look for the hatch.
Confirm the exit condition
Check that the amount sent meets the quota. Loot inside Barry still waiting to be sent is a different state. Blue progress represents loaded loot; yellow progress represents delivered progress.
Once the quota is reached, use the opening effects and sound as navigation cues. Regroup and follow the open exit rather than continuing the collection loop merely because more items remain nearby.
When the hatch is still closed
A percentage of 100 is not enough to diagnose the problem. Compare the delivered amount with the target, and confirm that the last load has been sent. A small remaining shortfall can coexist with a display that appears complete.
If the delivered requirement is met and the hatch remains closed, treat it as a possible fault rather than proof that another hidden switch is required. Record the quota display and hatch state. There is no verified recovery sequence that guarantees the current run can continue.
